Description

Incredibly beautiful, this special villa sits on the sea where the waves gently break on shallow reefs and roll in providing their own music. Selah is in Runaway Bay, a small fishing village unspoiled by commercialism. All conveniences are available to make a holiday. Well stocked supermarket and specialist butcher nearby. Runaway Bay is the place the sugar plantation slaves escaped in the bygone slave era of Jamaica. The beach is one mile of white sand for lying down, strolling and swimming.

Selah is located on the eastern end of the beach on a cove across (400 yards) from the new Hedonism III Hotel. Near enough to access the amenities, far enough to be private and escape the crowds. Selah is safe, secure and secluded yet not lonely. It is situated on the edge of a natural mangrove hundreds of years old which is home to doves and local bird life. The designer, Architect ' Jeremy Millingen's international experience was challenged to achieve the mandate of the owners to design a home that is beautiful, charming and cool.

Excellent all-around rental

This was a great house, on a great beach, with excellent staff. In addition, the tennis court was amazing. This had a great "family" feel to the rental. We have stayed at several beachfront villas in Jamaica and this was our favorite.

Fabulous from start to finish

Our family of 7 which included 3 generations stayed at this lovely home in April 2006. The staff was warm and welcoming. On the first night, they brought out the largest birthday cake my 7 year old son had ever seen. Tommy was a wonderful chef and we really enjoyed afternoon tea. We were pampered all week. The private beach and large pool were lots of fun for all ages. We even entertained friends one day who came over from Half Moon Bay and they loved the place too. It was only a short walk or kayak ride to an even larger beautiful beach. It was very hard to leave and we plan to return. It's hard to go back to a resort after you have stayed in this kind of luxury.
